Performance Max takes credit for brand sales
- The problem
- Campaigns report strong ROAS that is largely people who already searched your name.
- Our fix
- Brand exclusions, separate brand campaigns and new-customer reporting show what ads actually add.
eCommerce · Digital Marketing
Raqbash is a digital marketing agency in Ahmedabad for online stores and D2C brands. We run Google Shopping, Performance Max and Meta catalogue ads, fix feeds, speed and checkout in code, and build retention flows, all measured on contribution margin and repeat customers rather than clicks or blended ROAS alone.
Trusted partners
From global enterprises to fast-growing startups, brands across the world trust Raqbash to build and scale their digital products.

Overview
Online shoppers discover products on Instagram and Google, compare prices across marketplaces and stores, and buy where delivery, returns and payment feel safest. eCommerce digital marketing works when ads, product pages, checkout and retention are optimised together, because each one multiplies the others.
A shopper might see a kurta in a Reel, search its name on Google, compare it on two marketplaces and a brand site, read reviews, check the return policy and abandon at checkout because COD isn't offered for their pin code. Most journeys cross several devices and channels, and many sales happen days after the first click, which is why platform-reported ROAS rarely matches the bank account.
Generic agencies push spend into Performance Max and report healthy-looking numbers that are mostly brand searches the store would have won anyway. Feeds with missing attributes get products disapproved, slow mobile pages waste the clicks that do arrive, and customers acquired at a loss are never contacted again.
Raqbash, a digital marketing agency in Ahmedabad with its own engineers, treats a store as one system: clean feeds and fast pages first, then acquisition, then retention, all judged on margin. For organic search only, see our ecommerce SEO programme; if the store itself needs rebuilding, see the ecommerce websites we build.
| Channel | What shoppers do there | What it decides |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram and Reels | Discover products and styles | What they want |
| Google Shopping and Search | Compare prices and stores for a product | Where they click to buy |
| Marketplaces | Check price, reviews and delivery dates | Whether your site looks competitive |
| Product and category pages | Read sizes, materials, reviews and policies | Whether they add to cart |
| Checkout | Choose payment, COD and delivery | Whether the order completes |
| Email and WhatsApp | Get reminders, offers and restocks | Whether they buy again |
Challenges
Most stores lose margin in five places, and more ad spend makes every one of them more expensive.

eCommerce marketing runs as four stages, from discovery to repeat purchase; the last stage is where most stores find their profit.
Stage 1 · Awareness
Creative-led social and video introduce products to people who were not searching yet.
Stage 2 · Consideration
Shoppers compare price, delivery and reviews. Feeds, product pages and Shopping ads decide who gets the click.
Stage 3 · Conversion
Fast pages, clear policies and a short checkout turn visits into paid, delivered orders.
Stage 4 · Retention
Repeat customers cost less and spend more; consented retention turns one order into many.
Compliance & ethics
Online selling in India is governed by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the CCPA's dark-patterns guidelines and labelling rules. Raqbash builds campaigns and stores inside them.
The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require seller details, total price, return and refund terms, country of origin and a grievance officer to be shown, with no fake reviews or price manipulation.
The CCPA's 2023 guidelines name patterns such as false urgency, basket sneaking, drip pricing and subscription traps; we design ads and checkouts without them.
Listings carry the declarations the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules require, such as MRP, net quantity and manufacturer.
Creator collaborations follow ASCI's influencer disclosure guidelines.
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, email and WhatsApp journeys run only with consent and honour opt-outs.
Guidance, not legal advice. Rules change. We design campaigns to respect the current position and ask your legal or compliance advisor to confirm anything specific to your organisation.
Transparency
Raqbash reports ecommerce marketing in profit terms: spend, revenue, MER, new-customer CAC, AOV and repeat rate, with a list of what changed.
A typical pattern, not a promise: results depend on competition, budget and how quickly changes are approved. No one can guarantee rankings or leads.
Month 1–2
Tracking, server-side events and feed errors fixed; brand and non-brand separated.
Month 3–4
Shopping and Meta campaigns optimised on margin; first CRO fixes shipped.
Month 5–6
Email and WhatsApp flows lift repeat revenue; category pages start ranking.
Month 6–12
Budget scales on the products and audiences with healthy payback.
No bought links, fake reviews, scraped data or policy workarounds. Ever.
Ad accounts, analytics, Google Business Profile, pages and data sit in your name. We work as users.
One report and one review call a month, showing spend, enquiries and what changed.
Pricing
eCommerce digital marketing costs a monthly retainer plus ad spend paid to Google, Meta or marketplaces; catalogue size and the number of channels drive the retainer.
Raqbash digital marketing retainers range from ₹25,000 to ₹2,00,000+ per month; ad spend is separate and paid directly to Google or Meta (pricing on our digital marketing page).

Compare channels
Google Shopping captures shoppers ready to buy, Meta ads create demand for products people don't yet know, and SEO lowers acquisition cost over time.
| Criterion | Category and product SEO | Google Shopping and PMax | Meta catalogue and creative ads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost model | Retainer; no cost per click | Fee plus ad spend per click | Fee plus ad spend per impression |
| Time to results | 3–6 months for categories | Days, once the feed is approved | Days; creative testing takes weeks |
| Best for | Non-brand searches at low CAC | Shoppers comparing products | Discovery and new products |
| Main risk | Thin or duplicate category pages | Brand searches inflating ROAS | Creative fatigue and rising CAC |
| Works best with | Fast pages and structured data | A clean, enriched feed | A testing rhythm and retention |
Why Raqbash
Raqbash pairs performance marketing with ecommerce engineering, so the store converts the traffic the ads buy.
We'll review your feed, campaigns, store speed and retention and show where margin is leaking, at no cost.
Process
Every engagement follows the same six steps, starting with tracking and feed quality before spend increases.
Step 01
We review your website, Google Business Profile, ad accounts, tracking and competitors, and share the findings in plain language.
Step 02
A written plan: which channels, in what order, with what budget split, which KPIs and what we expect by month three and month six.
Step 03
Analytics, conversion events, call and form tracking and consent are fixed first, so every later decision rests on clean data.
Step 04
Campaigns, landing pages and content go live in a planned sequence, with your approval on copy and creative before anything runs.
Step 05
Weekly checks on search terms, audiences, creative and landing pages; budget moves towards what produces enquiries, not clicks.
Step 06
A monthly report and review call, then a decision on what to scale, what to fix and what to stop.
Tools & platforms
