Co-operative banks usually grew up in a city's older trading districts and spread into newer suburbs, while small finance banks reach deep into tier-2 and tier-3 towns. Every branch needs its own listing, branch page and accurate pin, because "bank near me" results depend on distance.
Searches are often in Hindi, Hinglish or the state's language: "bank ki branch kahan hai", "FD ka byaj dar", "gold loan bank paas mein". We use these on branch pages and listings, in Marathi, Kannada or Malayalam too where members search that way.
Credit co-operative societies need extra care. They should not describe themselves as banks, so their listings, categories and pages use the correct terms for a society.
