Overview

Restaurant website design that gets tables booked

Good restaurant website design starts with the menu, not the homepage slider. We design and build websites for restaurants, cafes, bakeries, cloud kitchens, pizzerias and coffee shops, with restaurant website development that covers ordering, reservations and multi-outlet location pages. Owners in Indian metros, smaller cities and abroad use these sites to take orders and bookings directly instead of paying a share of every bill to a marketplace.

Before a guest calls or walks in, they check four things on their phone: what is on the menu and what it costs, whether you are open now, how far away you are, and what other diners say. Most restaurant sites fail the first test with a blurry PDF menu that won't zoom. Your website decides whether that hungry visitor orders from you or taps back to the delivery app and picks the next listing. We build websites, not kitchens: we design the digital front door and leave the cooking to you.

One team

Restaurant website design and development, handled end to end

A restaurant site has two jobs. It has to make people hungry, and it has to take the order without friction. We do both in one team.

Design

  • Menu research first: we study how your guests actually order (dine-in, takeaway, delivery, catering) and design around that.
  • Information architecture that puts the menu, hours, location and the order button within one tap of every page.
  • Food photography direction and layouts that show dishes properly on a small screen, without slowing the page.
  • Brand fit: typefaces, colour and tone that match the room, whether you run a dhaba, a third-wave cafe or a fine-dining kitchen.
  • Conversion paths for each visit type: order now, book a table, enquire about catering, or find the nearest outlet.

Development

  • HTML menus with prices and dietary tags, editable by your team in minutes, with Menu and Restaurant schema for search.
  • Online ordering with your own checkout and Razorpay or Stripe payments, so the order and the customer data are yours.
  • Table reservations with time slots, party size and confirmation by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
  • Fast builds on Next.js or WordPress, tuned for Core Web Vitals on mobile data, where most food searches happen.
  • A simple CMS for daily specials, festive menus and price changes, plus SEO-ready code from the first line.

One team owns the design and the code, so the menu you approve is the menu that ships, and nothing is lost in handover.

What we build

Restaurant website development services

Six things we build for restaurants and cafes. Most projects combine three or four of them.

  • Menu-first restaurant websites

Fast, mobile-first sites built around a real HTML menu with prices, photos and dietary tags. No PDF downloads, no pinch-to-zoom.
  • Commission-free online ordering

Your own ordering flow for pickup and delivery, with modifiers, add-ons, delivery zones and online payment. You keep the margin and the customer list.
  • Table reservation systems

Slot-based booking with party size, special requests and automatic reminders, so no-shows drop and Friday nights fill early.
  • Multi-outlet location pages

One page per branch with its own hours, menu differences, map and phone number, each one built to rank in local search.
  • Catering and events enquiries

Package pages and a structured enquiry form for weddings, office lunches and private dining, routed to the right person on your team.
  • Redesign & maintenance

Restaurant website redesign that keeps your search rankings, plus menu updates, seasonal pages, security patches and backups after launch.

Ordering & bookings

Ordering, bookings and menus that work on a phone

Food ordering website design is mostly about removing taps. These are the four areas where restaurant sites win or lose the order.

Menus search engines can read

Menus are HTML, not images or PDFs, marked up with Menu schema. Google can show your dishes and prices, and guests can read them on any screen.

Direct orders, no commission

A checkout you own, with payments going to your account. Regulars order direct, and the marketplace stays a discovery channel, not your only till.

Reservations that confirm themselves

Guests pick a slot, get an instant confirmation and a reminder. Your floor team sees bookings in one place instead of a notebook and three phones.

Reviews and local search

Google Business Profile links, review prompts after an order, and location pages that match your listing. That is how you show up for 'near me' searches.
  • HTML menu with prices and dietary tags
  • Menu and Restaurant structured data
  • Online ordering with your own checkout
  • Table booking with SMS or WhatsApp reminders
  • Click-to-call and directions on every page
  • Links to your Zomato, Swiggy and Google listings

What a restaurant website needs

Most restaurant and cafe sites need the same core pages. Use this list to scope yours; we adjust it to how you serve.

Home
Shows what you serve, where you are and whether you are open, with one clear order or book button.
Menu (HTML, not PDF)
Every dish with price, photo where it helps, and veg, Jain, vegan or allergen tags. Easy for staff to update.
Order online
Pickup and delivery ordering with modifiers, delivery zones and online payment.
Reservations
Pick a date, time and party size, add a request, get an instant confirmation.
Locations
One page per outlet with hours, map, parking notes and that branch's phone number.
Catering & private dining
Packages, minimum orders and an enquiry form that captures date, headcount and budget.
Gallery
The room, the food and the team, compressed so the page still loads fast.
Our story
The chef, the sourcing and the history. It's why people pick you over the place next door.
Contact
Phone, WhatsApp, email and a form for feedback, jobs and supplier enquiries.

Delivery apps

Where your own site fits beside Zomato and Swiggy

Marketplaces are good at one thing: putting you in front of people who don't know you yet. They are expensive at another: serving the regulars who already love your food. Every repeat order that goes through an app pays commission on a customer you already won.

Your website is the place for those regulars. We add a clear 'order direct' path, a short note on why ordering direct helps a local business, and links to your marketplace listings for people who prefer them. You stay listed on the apps for discovery, and move repeat business to a channel you own. We don't promise a percentage shift. That depends on your food, your offers and how often you remind people.

Cafes, bakeries and cloud kitchens

Cafe website design, bakery website design and cloud kitchens

A coffee shop sells a routine. Website design for a coffee shop leans on opening hours, the seasonal drinks board, a loyalty or pre-order option for the morning rush, and enough of the space to make someone want to work from it.

A bakery sells occasions. Bakery website design puts custom cake orders front and centre: flavours, sizes, eggless options, a date picker with lead times and a photo upload for reference designs. A cloud kitchen has no dining room at all, so the site carries the whole brand: several virtual brands under one kitchen, each with its own menu and ordering page. Pizza website design is its own case too. Build-your-own pizza needs a clear topping picker and a running price, or people abandon the cart.

Why Raqbash

Why choose Raqbash as your restaurant website design company

Picking a restaurant website design company comes down to one question: will the site take orders, or just look nice?

4.9 rated on Google Reviews
  • Menu-first thinking

We start with your menu and your service style, then design the pages around them. Not the other way round.
  • Built to cut commission

Direct ordering and booking are scoped from day one, not added as a plugin after launch.
  • Mobile above all

Most food searches happen on a phone, often on patchy data. We design and test on real mid-range phones first.
  • Local search built in

Location pages, schema, Google Business Profile links and review prompts are part of the build, not an extra.
  • Fast with food photos

Modern image formats, lazy loading and careful layouts keep pages quick even with a full gallery.
  • Staff can update it

Daily specials and price changes take minutes in the CMS. We train your team and stay on call after launch.

  • Cafes & coffee shops

Hours, drinks boards, pre-order for the morning rush and a space people want to sit in.

Custom cake orders with lead times, flavours, eggless options and reference photo upload.
  • Cloud kitchens

Several virtual brands from one kitchen, each with its own menu and ordering page.

Build-your-own ordering, combo deals and delivery-zone checks that keep carts moving.
  • Multi-outlet chains & franchises

Shared brand, local pages per outlet, central menu control with branch-level differences.

How we work

Our restaurant website development process

Six steps from first call to live site. Step four is where we test every order and booking path before a real guest uses it.

  1. Step 01

    Discover

We learn your menu, service style, outlets, current ordering channels and what you pay marketplaces today.

  2. Step 02

    Design

We design the menu, ordering and booking flows first, test them as clickable prototypes, then style the rest.

  3. Step 03

    Build

We build the site, load the menu into the CMS and connect payments, booking and notifications.

  4. Step 04

    Integrate & test orders

We place real test orders and bookings on several phones, check payments, receipts and kitchen alerts end to end.

  5. Step 05

    Launch

We go live, link your Google Business Profile and listings, and redirect old URLs so rankings carry over.

  6. Step 06

    Support

We update menus, add festive pages, patch, back up and report on orders and bookings each month.

Cost & timeline

Restaurant website cost and timeline

Three common scopes. Every project gets a fixed-scope quote before work starts, so the number doesn't move halfway through.

Content often sets the pace more than code. Menus, photos and outlet details take longer to gather than most owners expect, so we agree who owns them in week one.

FAQ

Restaurant website design FAQs

Questions restaurant, cafe and bakery owners ask us about cost, ordering, menus and getting found.

How much does restaurant website design cost?

A menu and information site starts from about ₹40,000. Sites with online ordering, payments and table booking cost more, and multi-outlet platforms more again. Three things drive the price: how many menu items and outlets you have, whether you need ordering and booking, and which systems we connect, such as a POS. We send a fixed-scope quote after a short call, so you know the number before we start.

How long does a restaurant website take to build?

A menu and info site usually takes three to five weeks. An ordering and booking site takes six to ten weeks, and a multi-outlet platform ten to sixteen. The schedule usually moves on content, not code. Final menus, prices and photos take time to gather, so we agree who owns each piece in the first week.

Do you do both restaurant website design and development?

Yes. The same team does the restaurant website design and the restaurant website development. Our designers plan the menu, ordering and booking flows, and our developers build them, connect payments and tune speed. You deal with one team and one quote, and nothing gets lost between a design agency and a separate developer.

Should my restaurant website be on WordPress, Shopify or custom code?

It depends on how you sell. A menu and info site works well on WordPress, which your staff can edit easily. If ordering is the main job, a custom Next.js build gives you full control over the checkout, delivery zones and modifiers, and stays fast. Shopify suits bakeries and packaged food brands that ship products. We recommend one after the first call, based on your menu and order volume.

Can you set up online ordering without Zomato or Swiggy commission?

Yes. We build your own ordering flow with payments going straight to your account through Razorpay or Stripe. You pay the payment gateway's fee, not a marketplace commission. You can stay listed on the apps for new customers and point your regulars to direct ordering. Delivery itself is up to you: your own riders, or a delivery partner you already use.

Will my menu show up in Google search?

That is the reason we build menus in HTML instead of PDFs. Google can read every dish and price, and we add Menu and Restaurant structured data. Ranking also depends on your Google Business Profile, reviews and location pages, so we link those up too. No agency can promise a ranking, but a readable menu and clean local signals give you a fair shot.

Can the website connect to my POS or billing software?

Often, yes, if your POS offers an API or an online-order integration. Many Indian POS systems do. We check your POS documentation in discovery and tell you plainly what is possible. If there is no API, orders can arrive on a tablet, by email or WhatsApp, and your staff punch them into billing as they do today.
