Overview

Law firm website design that informs first

Law firm website design is different from almost any other kind. In many places the site is not allowed to sell in the usual way, and a single careless line can create a problem with a regulator. We design and build websites for full-service firms, litigation and corporate practices, solo advocates, immigration and family lawyers, and in-house legal teams. Our law firm website development covers practice-area structure, profiles, publications, disclaimer gates and secure enquiry handling, for firms from metro high courts to district courts across India, and in the US, UK and beyond.

Before a person contacts a lawyer, they want to know three things: does this firm handle my kind of matter, who would actually work on it, and can I raise it without the details leaking. Corporate clients also check publications, recognitions and the depth of the team. A dated site with a phone number and a paragraph of history does not answer any of that. We build websites, not legal opinions: we give your firm a clear, accurate presence and leave the law, and the final say on every word, to your own counsel.

One team

Law firm website development and design, one accountable team

A legal site has to be careful with every word and still easy to use. Our designers and developers work as one team so neither side gets traded away.

Design

  • A practice-area map built with your partners, so each area of law gets its own page in the language clients use.
  • Profile templates for advocates, attorneys and associates covering enrolment, education, courts, languages and publications.
  • A calm, serious visual style: readable type, plenty of space and no aggressive sales banners or countdown offers.
  • Disclaimer and acceptance screens designed to be clear and quick, not a wall that drives people away.
  • Enquiry paths for each visitor type: an individual with a private matter, a company with a transaction, or a referring lawyer.

Development

  • A CMS where practice areas, people, publications and news are linked, so every profile shows the work and writing behind it.
  • Configurable disclaimer gates that record acceptance and can be switched on per jurisdiction or per page.
  • Confidential enquiry forms over HTTPS, with minimal fields, conflict-check questions and delivery to named recipients only.
  • Consultation booking linked to partner calendars, with reminders and an option for video calls.
  • Fast, accessible, SEO-ready builds with Organization, Person and Article schema and clean, crawlable publication archives.

The people who design your pages also build them, so the careful wording your counsel approves is exactly what goes live.

What we build

Law firm website development services

Six parts of law website design and build we provide to legal practices. Most firms start with the first three.

  • Practice-area websites

A page for each area of law you handle, explaining in plain words what it covers and when someone may need help, without promising outcomes.
  • Advocate and attorney profiles

Profiles with enrolment details, education, courts of practice, languages, notable publications and a direct contact route.
  • Consultation booking

Clients request a first consultation in a time slot that suits them, in person or by video, with confirmations and reminders.
  • Confidential enquiry forms

Forms that collect only what a first contact needs, warn users not to share privileged detail, and deliver privately to the right partner.
  • Publications and legal updates

A library for articles, case notes, bulletins and newsletters, tagged by practice area and author, so your knowledge is easy to find.
  • Redesign & maintenance

Redesigns of older legal sites that keep search equity, plus profile changes, new practice pages, security patches and backups.

Rules & confidentiality

Built around professional rules and client confidentiality

Legal website design carries more constraints than most. These four areas are where we spend the most care.

Informational, not promotional

Copy explains areas of law and the firm's experience. No claims of being the best, no guaranteed results, no comparisons. Your counsel approves the final text.

Disclaimer and acceptance gates

Where your rules call for it, visitors confirm they are seeking information on their own initiative before entering. We record the acceptance and keep the screen short.

Enquiries kept private

Forms send over HTTPS, avoid trackers on sensitive pages and tell users that contacting the firm doesn't create a client relationship.

Multi-jurisdiction ready

Firms with offices or clients abroad can show different notices, contacts and pages per country, each reviewed against local rules by your team.
  • Practice-area pages in plain language
  • Advocate and attorney profiles with credentials
  • Disclaimer gate with recorded acceptance
  • Confidential enquiry form with conflict-check fields
  • No outcome promises or ranking claims in copy
  • Publications library tagged by practice and author

India

Websites for Indian advocates and Bar Council rules

In India, the Bar Council of India's rules restrict advocates from soliciting work or advertising in the way other businesses do. Over time, permitted website content has generally been understood to cover factual details such as name, contact information, enrolment, qualifications and areas of practice. That is why many Indian law firm websites open with a disclaimer that the visitor must accept, confirming they are looking for information of their own accord.

We design sites to that informational pattern: factual profiles, neutral practice descriptions, no testimonials or success claims, and a disclaimer gate where the firm wants one. We don't interpret the rules for you. What may be published is a question for your firm and your own counsel, and nothing goes live until they have signed it off.

US, UK and beyond

Attorney web development for US, UK and international firms

Most searches for lawyer website designers come from the United States, and firms there and in the UK work under their own rules. US state bars set advertising rules that often cover things like disclaimers, testimonials and claims of specialisation. In England and Wales, the Solicitors Regulation Authority expects clear information on matters such as regulatory status, complaints and, for some services, price and service details.

As an attorney website developer, we build the structure those rules usually call for: space for regulatory notices, complaints information and pricing pages where needed, plus careful profile and review handling. Your compliance partner decides what each page must say. We make sure the site can say it clearly, in every jurisdiction you serve, and that changes are easy to make when the rules move.

How we work

Our law firm website development process

Six steps. Step four is a formal review where your counsel checks every page against the rules that apply to the firm.

  1. Step 01

    Discover

We review your practice areas, jurisdictions, current site and how clients reach you, and note the rules your counsel flags.

  2. Step 02

    Design

We design the practice-area, profile and enquiry templates first and test the disclaimer flow as a prototype.

  3. Step 03

    Build

We build the CMS, load profiles and publications, and set up booking, forms and notices.

  4. Step 04

    Counsel review

Your nominated partner or counsel reviews all copy, notices and forms. We change anything they flag before launch.

  5. Step 05

    Launch

We go live with redirects, schema checks and form tests, and confirm the disclaimer records acceptance correctly.

  6. Step 06

    Support

We update profiles, add publications, adjust notices when rules change, and keep the site patched and backed up.

FAQ

Law firm website design FAQs

Questions from advocates, attorneys and law firm partners about cost, timelines, platforms, search and professional rules.

How much does law firm website design cost?

A profile site for an advocate or boutique firm starts from about ₹40,000. Firm sites with publications, booking and people search cost more, and multi-office or international platforms more again. Cost depends on the number of practice areas and lawyers, languages, jurisdictions and integrations. We send a fixed-scope quote after a short discovery call.

How long does it take to build a law firm website?

A profile site usually takes four to six weeks. A firm site with publications takes eight to twelve, and a multi-office platform twelve to twenty. The biggest variable is review time: every page needs sign-off from your counsel, so we schedule those reviews at the start.

Do you do both law firm website design and law firm website development?

Yes. The same team handles the design and the law firm website development. Designers plan the practice-area structure, profiles and disclaimer flow, and developers build the CMS, booking and secure forms. You work with one team on one quote.

Should a law firm website use WordPress or a custom build?

WordPress works well for most firms that want to publish updates and edit profiles themselves. A headless CMS with a Next.js front end suits larger firms with many lawyers, several offices or strict performance and security needs. We suggest the right option after we understand how much you publish and who will maintain it.

Can a law firm website rank well in Google?

Yes, within the rules. We structure practice-area pages around the questions clients search, add author pages and schema, and keep the site fast. Useful publications do most of the long-term work. We won't use tactics or claims that could cause trouble with your regulator, and no honest agency can guarantee a position.

Does the website comply with Bar Council of India rules?

We build to the informational pattern Indian firms usually follow: factual profiles, neutral practice descriptions, no testimonials or success claims, and a disclaimer gate if you want one. But compliance is a legal judgement, and we give no legal advice. Your firm and its own counsel decide what may be published, and we change anything they ask before launch.

Are enquiries through the website confidential?

Forms send over HTTPS and go only to named recipients. We keep the fields minimal, avoid analytics and ad trackers on enquiry pages, and add a note asking people not to share privileged details before a formal engagement. Your firm decides how enquiries are stored and handled after that.
